Our group includes researchers trained in medicine, pharmacy, molecular medicine, molecular biology or related fields. We are always interested in excellent and motivated candidates who want to join our team.
We are offering a position for a PhD student in Mineralocorticoid receptor signaling and cardiovascular epigenetics. Our laboratory is focused on mineralocorticoid receptors in the cardiovascular system and their role in epigenetic and transcriptional regulatory mechanisms. We use innovative molecular biology and biochemical assays, cell culture techniques, flow cytometry and transgenic mouse models as well as state-of-the-art next-generation sequencing technology. Our group is embedded in the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology and closely linked to the Heart Center of the University of Freiburg. We provide a stimulating working atmosphere in a competitive environment and are looking for excellent and highly motivated candidates to join our team.
Applicants should have an excellent degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in pharmacology, molecular medicine, molecular biology, biochemistry or other related fields and a strong scientific background. A solid knowledge of standard biochemical assays is absolutely required. Preferred candidates will have experience with chromatin immunoprecipitation experiments and/or flow cytometry.
